Aux Mêmes Booking Terms and Conditions


You are strongly advised to obtain holiday insurance to cover the cost of your holiday and other associated expenses including cancellation.

Cancellations need to be in writing (by letter or E-mail) by the person who made the booking. All fees already paid at the time of the cancellation will be the cancellation fee. If gite accommodation can be re-let for the period concerned any fees may be returned less any costs incurred in re-letting.



For our gîte the Security/Damage Deposit is payable with the final payment. It is used to cover the cost of any damage, breakages, extra cleaning etc. The accommodation is to be left in a clean and tidy condition on departure, and the deposit will be returned within fourteen days after the end of the holiday, less any deductions for damage, breakages or for any excessive cleaning required etc.

All fees must be paid by the due date as specified on the booking form. If any amount is not paid by the due date we reserve the right to cancel the booking and any fees already paid will not be refunded.

The use of the accommodation, equipment and any other amenities on site is entirely at the visitor’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the guests personally, or their belongings – including vehicles.

Please ask if it is acceptable to bring your pet before booking. Breeds of dog included in the UK Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not allowed. Pets must not be left unattended on site.



The Owners shall not be liable to the guests for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of Public Services, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliances; nor for any loss, damage or injury caused by adverse weather conditions or any other matters beyond the control of the Owners; nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Guest should the property be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event the Owner shall within seven (7) days of notification to the Guest, refund all sums previously paid by that guest in respect of the holiday period. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the Hirer exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.
